An example growing-up film: Maya, from her first day to becoming a mom
Growing style1 minute 11 seconds13 photos
This is a complete growing-up film made with Glim, a service that turns photos of someone you love into a short AI-animated film. Thirteen photos of Maya, from the day she was born in 1994 to the day she held her own daughter in 2025, flow into one another over 71 seconds, between an opening and an end card. Maya and her family are invented: we made the photos with AI for this example, and afterwards, outside Glim, we replaced the music, and the opening with another one made in Glim.
A film like this needs 12 animations and an AI opening. The 1-minute package has exactly 12, and every package includes an AI opening. It costs ₪79, the final price in Israel. The first animation is free, no card needed.

The film also comes in a version where a voice tells what is on screen. The “Audio description” button under the film switches to it, or you can open it as a file. That voice is synthetic, made with AI.

How the film was made
- Photos
- 13 photos, from 1994 to 2025. The 13 photos were made with AI for this example. Maya and her family are invented, and no real person is in the film.
- Style
- Growing: each animation is a transition from one photo to the next, so 13 photos make 12 animations.
- Opening
- The “Old projector” AI opening, with a Hebrew title that reads “Maya: from the very first day until today”.
- End card
- In Hebrew, it reads “The story goes on. With love, the family”
- Music
- “Heroes Never Die” by Polytunes, from Pixabay, under the Pixabay Content License (the track’s page). We put it in outside Glim, in place of the film’s original music.
- Length
- 1 minute 11 seconds
- What was done outside Glim
- After the film was made in Glim, we changed two things outside Glim: we replaced the music with “Heroes Never Die” and edited it to the rhythm of the photos, and in place of the earlier opening we cut in a new one, designed and made in Glim. The animations and the end card are as Glim made them, and the photos are the ones we uploaded.
