What is Glim?
Glim turns photos of the people you love into a short, finished film, with AI animation, an opening, music and Hebrew titles. It's an Israeli service that works in your browser, and the film is a gift for any moment, from a first birthday to a parent's 70th. Some families also make one in memory of someone who is gone. Each animation is usually ready in 4–5 minutes, the first animation is free, and a whole film costs ₪79 to ₪349, paid once. Glim isn't a video editor, a template app or a talking-photo app.

What is a Growing film?
A Growing film puts real photos from different ages into one continuous take, in which you watch someone grow up: the AI makes the transition between every two neighbouring photos. It isn't an “age progression” the AI invents from a single photo: the film goes through your photos, age by age. Glim's other kind of film is Classic, where each photo comes alive on its own for 5 seconds: a glance, a smile, wind in the hair, even in old, black-and-white or scanned photos.

How is Glim different from a video editor or a template app?
Glim animates your photos and puts them together into a finished film, with an opening, music and titles. It isn't a video editor, a template app or a talking-photo app.
- Not a video editor: there's light editing (trims, captions, chapter cards), but Glim puts the film together, and no editing experience is needed.
- Not a template app: your photos don't go into a ready-made design. Each animation is made from the photo itself.
- Not talking photos: Glim doesn't clone voices, put words in anyone's mouth, swap faces or add people who weren't in the photo.
- And it has nothing to do with the GLIM criteria for diagnosing malnutrition, which share the name.
How much does a Glim film cost?
You pay once, by the length of the film: from ₪79 for one minute to ₪349 for 7 minutes. Each minute is 12 animations, with the same number of free retries. Every package includes an AI opening and a personal song, and packages of 5 minutes or more include the event pack too. There's no subscription, and animations never expire.
- In Israel, the price in shekels is the final price, with nothing added by Glim.
- Outside Israel you can pay in US dollars, and any VAT or sales tax where you live is added and shown at checkout before you pay.
| Film length | Animations | Retries | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 minute | 12 | 12 | ₪79 |
| 2 minutes | 24 | 24 | ₪149 |
| 3 minutes | 36 | 36 | ₪199 |
| 5 minutes | 60 | 60 | ₪279 |
| 7 minutes | 84 | 84 | ₪349 |

Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. The first animation is free, with no credit card, and it comes with 2 retries on us. You pay only when you go on to a whole film.
More: How it works
Are there extras that cost money?
You don't need any: a package has everything a film of its length needs. Composing the film and editing it again cost no animations, and you can download and share the film as many times as you like.
If you want more, you can add:
- 5 more animations, with 5 retries: ₪29
- 20 more retries: ₪29
- The event pack (already included from 5 minutes): ₪19

How do I pay?
By card, in one payment, on the checkout of Freemius, the authorised reseller that sells Glim's packages. That's why your statement shows FREEMIUS* GLIM, and the invoice comes from Freemius, in English. Instalments aren't available at the moment. Glim charges no fees. Freemius is a US company, and some card companies charge their own fee for paying a business abroad, even in shekels.
How long does it take to make a film from photos?
Each animation usually takes 4–5 minutes. Several are made at the same time, not one after another, but a whole film still takes longer than one animation. Composing the film is quick. What takes longest is usually collecting the photos: a short film from photos already on your phone can be done in an evening.

How many photos do I need?
A minute of film is 12 animations of 5 seconds. In a Classic film each photo is one animation, so a minute takes 12 photos. In a Growing film each animation is the transition between two photos, so a minute takes 13. A Growing film takes 2 to 85 photos, and a Classic film up to 84.

Does the film work on a big screen at a venue?
Yes. You download an MP4 file in Full HD, in the shape you choose, as many times as you like. The event pack makes all three shapes from the film, a download page for the DJ and QR cards for the tables.
| Shape | Size in pixels | For |
|---|---|---|
| 16:9 | 1920×1080 | Venue projector and TV |
| 1:1 | 1080×1080 | Square, for feeds and Instagram |
| 9:16 | 1080×1920 | Vertical, for phones and WhatsApp status |

Do I need to download an app?
No. You make the film in your browser, on a phone or a computer, and the people you send it to watch it from a link, with no sign-up and no app.
More: How it works
How do I give the film as a gift?
Send a link to its watch page, on WhatsApp or by e-mail; whoever gets it watches with no sign-up. You can set a premiere: the film opens for everyone on the date and at the time you choose, up to a year ahead. And you can download the file and play it on the TV or at the venue.

Is the film labelled as made with AI?
Yes, inside the file, in every film made in Glim from now on: a standard IPTC label that says it was made with AI, with nothing changed in what you see. Older films stay as they were. On screen it shows only if you want it to: in a film's download window in Glim, you can add a short card at its end, “Made with AI in Glim”. It's off by default, and isn't offered on a memorial film.
What if we don't like the result?
There are free retries, as many as the animations in your package. An animation that failed or was blocked goes back to your balance by itself, and you can make it again. And if the film didn't move you, you get a full refund within 30 days of purchase, no reason needed, even if you've already made animations.
Two things to know about the refund:
- A full refund ends access to the package, and with it the right to use the animations and films made with it. We may remove them from your account.
- The promise doesn't apply when someone buys and asks for a refund again and again, opens more accounts to repeat it, pays by fraud, or has an account suspended for breaking the terms of use. Your legal right to cancel always stays.

How do I get a refund?
Write to us by e-mail, WhatsApp or phone, or use the help form in the app, and a person on the team answers. There's no cancellation fee, and the money goes back to your payment method within 14 days of your request; on a card it usually shows within 5–10 business days.
And under Israel's Consumer Protection Law:
- You can cancel a purchase within 14 days of the transaction, or of the day you received the e-mail confirming the order, whichever is later.
- Senior citizens (65 and over), people with disabilities and new immigrants (up to 5 years from immigration) can cancel within 4 months, under the conditions the law sets.
Are our photos used to train AI?
Not by Glim: Glim doesn't train models on your photos and doesn't sell them. To make an animation, the photo leaves Israel: it goes to KIE.ai, an AI provider in the United States, by a link that expires within 2 hours. From there it goes to the model that does the job, which may process it in other countries too. Under KIE.ai's terms, it may use the content it receives to operate and improve its service.

Where are the photos stored, and can I delete them?
On Amazon Web Services servers in Tel Aviv (il-central-1), for as long as the account is open. A deleted project stays 30 days in the trash and is then deleted completely, and you delete the whole account from the account page or by asking us. Records of orders and payments are kept for 7 years, as tax law requires.

Who can see the film?
Whoever has the link. Watch pages don't appear in search engines, and you see how many views there were, not who watched. You can stop sharing at any time, and deleting the film disables the link; we have no control over copies someone has already downloaded.

Can I upload photos of children, or of someone who has passed away?
Yes, with consent: adults with their own, children under 18 with a parent's or guardian's, and someone who has passed away with their close family's. You confirm this in the app before creating anything, and anyone in a photo can ask us to remove it. You need to be 18 or over to open an account.
Does the AI make up things that weren't in the photo?
Sometimes. An animation is an AI model's interpretation of a photo, and sometimes a movement doesn't look natural or a detail in a face changes. So when the photo has a face, each animation of it is checked against the photo: if the face changed, the animation is made again once, free, and if it still doesn't match, it isn't shown and goes back to your balance.

Do Hebrew titles and names come out right?
Yes. Glim adds the titles, not the AI, right to left in Hebrew typefaces, so the letters come out exactly as you wrote them. You can choose a Hebrew or Gregorian date and see every title before the film is put together.
